.CALGARY ZOO.

The Calgary zoo does lots of researching in other zoos and in the wild to find solutions for environmental problems that threaten animals around the world. They have a program where they take cell phones and reuse a special ore that is inside them. This decreases the amount of mining and destruction in natural habitats of animals in the area. They also do "species reintroduction" to help endangered animals have a better chance at survival.
Red pandas are under the "Species Survival Plan" which manages and conserves all sorts of species. The species they ususally use are "flag-species" which attract the attention of the puplic, such as the adorable red panda.
